Cowes RNLI lifeboat was 1 of 2 lifeboats which responded to an emergency call involving a capsized catamaran earlier this afternoon (Monday)
The catamaran, with 2 men aboard, had fallen victim of challenging wind-against-tide conditions off the Bramble Bank, at the entrance of Southampton Water.
After being righted, the catamaran was escorted from near the entrance of Hamble River to Netley, first by Cowes Lifeboat and then by Calshot RNLI Lifeboat.
Having launched just after midday, Cowes lifeboat returned to station at 13:15.
