The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service worked to free a cow from a tricky situation last night (Tuesday).
Firefighters were mobilised at normal driving speeds to Lower Road in Adgestone at around 20:45 following reports of a cow stuck in a ditch near the River Yar.
A number of resources were mobilised to the scene at Adgestone Farm, including the animal/water rescue unit from Newport.
Crews spent over 2 hours on scene but their efforts were not in vain as the animal was successfully rescued.
