Sandown was filled with colour and seaside fun on Sunday (9th August) as busy crowds turned out for the town’s annual Regatta.
The traditional event saw the seafront come alive with live music and entertainment, along with traditional races and a tug-of-war.
One of the day’s highlights was the Grand Regatta Hat Parade, with entrants taking to the beach to show off an array of creative and eccentric headwear.
Prizes were up for grabs for the overall Best Hat, the best creation by an under-12 and the most eccentric entry in the Mad Hatter category.
