St Helens was filled with colour and carnival spirit yesterday (Bank Holiday Monday), as the village’s traditional annual carnival brought the community together for one of the final celebrations of the Isle of Wight carnival season.
The annual procession took to the streets following a day of Bank Holiday activity in the village, including sports races.
Unlike some of the Isle of Wight’s larger town carnivals, St Helens offers a distinctly village setting, with the procession making its way around the Green.
