UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are rushing a casualty to hospital with the assistance of a Police escort following an incident in Ventnor this afternoon (Sunday).
Emergency services responded into the town at around 14:40 after being called to an address at Victoria House on Albert Street.
An ambulance, ambulance service officer and Police were all on scene in the heart of Ventnor for around 45 minutes, but have now left the scene and are making speed to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport.
UPDATE – A number of Police offices accompanied the casualty in the back of the ambulance, which has now arrived at St Mary’s Emergency Department.
UPDATE MONDAY – Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that a 53-year-old man was rushed to hospital yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to Albert Street following a concern for welfare alert.
