A casualty found on a remote coastal path in Yaverland was airlifted to a mainland hospital earlier this afternoon (Thursday).
HM Coastguard dispatched several resources from Bembridge and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Teams following a report of a concern for welfare was made at around 13:30.
Numerous crews rushed to Sandown Bay Holiday Centre, where a rendezvous point was established. The casualty was located on the coast path.
After around 20-minutes on the ground, Helicopter 175 lifted off and conveyed the casualty to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.
Coastguard Rescue officers stood down at around 15:00.
Although the incident was reported as a concern for welfare, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary did not attend.
