UPDATED: Emergency services are responding to a road traffic collision at Blackgang, in which a car has come to rest on its roof.
Police, fire and ambulance resources are all en-route to the scene having been alerted to the incident at around 18:50.
UPDATE @ 19:40 – Thankfully, no one has been injured in the single vehicle crash which has occurred between the Blackgang roundabout and Blythe Shute.
A Land Rover Defender appears to have lost control on a right hand bend before mounting a grass verge and rolling over, narrowly missing a road sign.
Emergency services have now stood down but a Roads Policing Officer remains with the vehicle whilst recovery is arranged.
The road is open in both directions.
