Police and paramedics are in attendance at a single vehicle crash on Forest Road on the outskirts of Newport tonight (Monday).
The incident, which has seen a vehicle overturn onto its roof, has occurred on the S-bend at Vittlefields.
No one has been seriously injured but paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are checking over the occupants having been alerted to the incident at around 22:00.
The road between Vittlefields Cross and Shalfleet is expected to reopen once recovery has been completed.
Southern Vectis says Route 7 buses will use Station Road, Newbridge and Middle Road to Carisbrooke in both directions.
Despite incorrect reports from other media outlets, the incident is not connected with an ambulance attending a property on Forest Road in Winford.
Route 8 buses were held up for a time, but the road blockage has since been cleared.
