Sandown and Shanklin Independent Lifeboat’s volunteer crew was called to action this afternoon (Wednesday), to assist a jet-ski with engine issues.
The crew was tasked by HM Coastguard shortly before 14:20, with the lifeboat travelling the short distance South to the Chine end of Shanklin Esplanade.
The crew located the jet-ski and its passenger and recovered them to the vicinity of the Fisherman’s Cottage, where they were assisted ashore.
The jet-ski was recovered on to a trailer and taken away.
