Residents of Northwood are being asked to stay vigilant after a man was seen acting suspiciously outside of a house in early the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).
Caught on a security camera at the front door at around 04:30, the man was seen walking around the house – whilst the occupants were asleep – with a can in his hand scouting and surveying a family home before taking a child’s black and blue BMX bike.
The bike was not visible from the roadside with the man heading around the side of the property between cars before taking the BMX and leaving.
Another member of the public had seen the man and an accomplice a few days earlier on Coronation Avenue – looking into people’s gardens and cars.
It is believed that the bike has been returned to its owner now after a member of the public reported that they had seen a bike matching the description abandoned in a hedge outside the entrance to Halford’s in Newport.
Police have been informed.
so why cover up the face of the perp, why not show him so that we know who to look out for around our properties
Blame human rights, that protect thieves identity.
