A yellow weather warning has been issued for the Isle of Wight tomorrow morning (Tuesday), with Islanders being urged to take care due to the risk of black ice.
Forecasters at IW Met Service say that evening showers will leave roads and walkways wet in some parts of the Island and this is likely to freeze in places, especially in low lying and sheltered rural areas.
Temperatures of 1c to 3c will be widespread which will lead to a ground frost, although locally could fall as low as 0c or perhaps even -1c, potentially freezing any wet surfaces and/or run-off water.
The warning is active from 22:00 tonight until 08:00 tomorrow morning (25th April 2023).
IW Met Service’s warning is in force from 02:00 until 08:00 tomorrow.

Climate change again, eh! What a worry with it getting so hot . . oh
We wants it hotter. I am not fussed over a few polar bears. Anyway they can bung them in a zoo instead of Lions and Tigers who hate being here as so cold.
So forget global warming that’s all a myth to tax everything more and more Fine for dim kids ‘thinking’ they are saving the planet. Adults ought to know better
Mark “thick as a brick” Bakewell evidently
