Over £750 was raised for Isle of Wight charity Daisy Chains at Xcite Competitions’ 1st Birthday Party on Sunday afternoon.
Celebrating a year since its inception, Xcite Competitions run draws to win a range of prizes from cars, to holidays and also donates to a charity on the Island once a month.
Daisy Chains are a local charity supporting children with a disability, long-term health needs or life-limiting condition as well as offering support to their parents as long as they need it.
The event held at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club in Fishbourne boasted a raffle, bouncy castles as well as food and refreshments, with all proceeds going to the charity.
In a post on their Facebook page, Xcite said:
“What a special day it was for us today. We want to thank everyone that came along from the bottom of our hearts, truly it was a beautiful thing to see finally come together.
“We’re in the process of calculating the total raised for Daisy Chains Isle of Wight Children’s Charity and we’ll let you all know the final amount tomorrow along with some very well-deserved shoutouts to everyone involved, you are all awesome!!”
The money – totalling £759 – has already been handed over to Daisy Chains and Xcite hope that they can hold a similar event next year.
