Officers investigating the circumstances surrounding a woman becoming unwell at the Isle of Wight Festival have made an arrest.
It was reported to police that a 26-year-old woman needed medical assistance after she used a vape that was offered to her by a man at the festival on Saturday 17th June.
It is alleged that whilst in a food queue the woman was approached by the male who asked if she wanted to try his vape.
Following enquiries, a 51-year-old man from Rochester, Kent, was arrested in Kent on suspicion of administering a poison or noxious substance with intent.
He remains in custody at this time.
The country should ban Vaping.
It is more Dangerous than smoking, all will be revealed in years to come.

Spot on. However these were not more strictly controlled I have no idea. If used to aid smoking cessation they should be limited to supply by Pharmacies and supplied under a strict protocol and records kept.
Anyone can sell them with no conscience and no knowledge. They are potentially very dangerous. Online supplies should be banned too.

I know a few people that attended the festival and 3 of them came back with Covid… have not seen any reports about Covid from the festival.. or do they not like to advertise it, so as not to hinder next years ticket sales… ??
