Another double gritting run is in store as temperatures continue to fall with Island Roads’ gritters to be out and about from 17:00 this evening (Monday) – and again just 12 hours later. Island Roads says that due to the forecast temperatures, its fleet of gritters will be treating all precautionary routes from 17:00. With another cold night in store, a 2nd gritting run will be carried out at 05:00 tomorrow morning (Tuesday).
