The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has landed in Nettlestone this lunchtime (Sunday) joining other emergency services already on scene at a residential property.
An ambulance, an enhanced care paramedic and an operational commander from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are on scene at Horestone Rise, as well as a fire appliance from Ryde.
The helicopter has touched down in a field off Priory Road in it’s 4th mission to the Isle of Wight this week and it’s 2nd in the Seaview area.
The incident started at around 11:50.
UPDATE @ 14:00 – The air ambulance has lifted from Nettlestone, flying directly to Southampton General Hospital.
All other resources have now stood down.

Hope the person involved is okay .
And wishing family and friends all the best.
Such a worrying time for all.
If there was a Bridge it would save the Air Ambulances time taking
Patients to the mainland, Ambulances could drive straight to
Southampton General Hospital.
I pray the person airlifted makes a speedy recovery.
Hi Geoff
Do you really think that a vehicle travelling through Southampton would be quicker than an helicopter get real
The air ambulance got from Thruxton to the IW in about 20mins the other day, no land ambulance will do that..
Also, the doctors on the flight are second-to none and can do live-saving procedures that no paramedic can do.
