The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has been scrambled to a medical emergency in Wootton this morning (Friday).
Flying doctors were called to the Island at around 11:00, leaving their Thruxton base shortly after.
After shortly circling near Lakeside Hotel, the air ambulance landed at Wootton Recreation Ground.
Those onboard have joined blue light colleagues from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service – including the Operational Commander – in the nearby car park.
UPDATE @ 13:15 – The air ambulance has taken off and has since landed at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.
