The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is in attendance at a medical emergency in Ryde this morning (Sunday).
Scrambled from its Thruxton base just before 11:00, the helicopter circled Ryde before landing in the Ryde Academy car park at around 11:20.
Flying doctors joined crews from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service – including the Enhanced Care Paramedic – on the ground at an address on Mayfield Road.
It is believed the incident is cardiac related with medics taking a Lucas machine from onboard the helicopter before heading to the residential address.
UPDATE @ 12:45 – The patient hasn’t been conveyed to hospital via helicopter.
