The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has been scrambled to the West Wight this morning (Morning) where medics are treating a patient with a life-threatening medical emergency. Having taken off from its Thruxton base at around 10:45 the helicopter touched down in Norton near the Norton Grange Hotel at around 11:10. Doctors on the ground are in the local area tending to the poorly patient. UPDATED @ 12:15 – The patient has been transferred by land ambulance to St Mary’s Hospital with the air ambulance relocating there to meet those on the ground.
