UPDATED: The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Police are attending an incident at Barfield in Ryde this morning (Friday).
Doctors and paramedics in the life-saving helicopter landed at Dover Park Primary School shortly before 11:00 and have been rushed to nearby Barfield, off Park Road, by Police.
It’s at a residential address that medical personnel are attending to a casualty in a garage. It is currently unclear if the individual has been injured.
2 ambulances and an officer from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are also on scene.
Barfield is currently blocked by the emergency services.
UPDATE @ 11:47 – A male is now being transferred to the awaiting helicopter and will be flown to a mainland hospital, who have been pre-alerted to the situation.
4 Police vehicles are on scene and assisting with the incident, but there is not thought to be any sinsiter circumstances.
UPDATE @ 12:01 – The casualty has now been successfully airlifted from Dover Park’s playing fields to Southampton General Hospital, bringing the incident to a close.
