UPDATED: Strong winds and rough seas have resulted in the suspension of Hovertravel’s cross-Solent service this morning (Friday).
The decision has been made to halt all crossings between Ryde and Southsea as a result of the adverse conditions.
It is unknown when the service will resume in accordance with the revised timetable.
As previously reported by Island Echo, Hovertravel are operating a 1-craft revised timetable for a total period of 7 weeks due to an issue with Solent Flyer.
At the other end of the Solent, Wightlink are running a 2-hourly service on their Yarmouth to Lymington route.
UPDATE @ 12:21 – Hovertravel services have now resumed in accordance with the revised timetable.
