UPDATED: Hampshire Constabulary are continuing to question 2 women on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class C drug following an large Police operation in Newport yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
As previously reported by Island Echo, a mix of plain clothed and uniformed officers arrested a 30-year-old male at an address in Linden Road. He was arrested in connection with an investigation into allegations of ‘threats to kill’.
It’s at the property that Police also arrested 3 other people on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class C drug.
A 23-year-old woman from Newport and a 27-year-old woman of no fixed abode remain in custody at Newport Police Station.
UPDATE: It was initially confirmed by Police that a third women had been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class C drug, however this is not the case.
