UPDATED: Those travelling across the Solent via Wightlink’s Fishbourne to Portsmouth service face 3 days of disruption due to maintenance work on one of the car ferries.
Wightlink have confirmed that a number of cancellations – 13 in total – have been made on Thursday, Friday and Monday.
Tomorrow (Thursday) will see just the 07:00 from Fishbourne pulled, but on Friday the 13:30 & 15:30 from Portsmouth and the 14:30 & 16:30 from Fishbourne will not run.
Even more cancellations are expected on Monday with the withdrawal of the 09:30, 11:30, 13:30 & 15:30 from Portsmouth and the 10:30, 12:30, 14:30 & 16:30 from Fishbourne.
UPDATE FRIDAY @ 16:05 – Wightlink have cancelled a further 5 crossings this afternoon due to the breakdown of an essential piece of equipment.
The 15:30 and 17:30 sailings from Fishbourne and 16:30 from Portsmouth have also been pulled from today’s timetable. The 14:30 from Portsmouth was also cancelled.
