2 men have been charged with making threats to kill following an incident at an address in St Johns Road in Newport on Friday (10th June).
Following enquiries by Police, the individuals were arrested and taken into custody at Newport Police Station for questioning
Now, Joshua Parker, 29, formerly of Culver Parade in Sandown, has been charged with making threats to kill and racially aggravated common assault.
Luke Thorpe, 31, of Arnold Road in Cowes, has also been charged with making threats to kill.
The duo were remanded in custody to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Monday 13th June).
At the hearing, they were remanded further to appear at Isle of Wight Crown Court on 26th July.

You can’t blame it on the parents.once they grow up that’s it up to which way they go wrong or right.

It’s not the parenting. My ex is regularly in trouble with the police & appears on here frequently yet his dad is lovely & a good parent. If it was the parenting then by that means my ex’s sister should also be a vile, troublemaking, drug taking delequent but is actually the complete opposite. Unfortunately there seems to be an increasing amount of guys aged 17-35 that are under the impression that drugs, violence, drink, fighting and the like are what makes them “tough”. Too many “roadmen/wannabe roadmen” about especially on such a small island.
What are the odds on illegal substances being involved.
People moving here from the mainland, and then the local louts have to mark there territory, similar to what a cat does when it feels threatened by new cats to the area.
Plus 24 hour rolling news coverage, makes it seem worse than it actually is.
When in fact 99.9% of people are fine.
