UPDATED: Emergency services are dealing with a single vehicle road traffic collision on the main road between Ventnor and Whitwell tonight (Friday).
Police, fire and ambulance resources were mobilised to the scene on Whitwell Road at around 22:30, which has resulted in the closure of the road.
It is understood the occupants of the vehicle have escaped any serious injury.
Recovery of the vehicle from near to Ventnor Rugby Club is currently taking place and the road is expected to re-open shortly.
UPDATE @ 23:57 – The car has now been recovered and emergency teams have stood down.
1 person has been checked over by paramedics but has not required any hospital treatment.
