Yarmouth RNLI lifeboat is making best speed towards the cross-Channel ferry ‘Commodore Clipper’ this lunchtime (Friday) to evacuate an unwell passenger.
Solent Coastguard requested the assistance of the All Weather Lifeboat at just gone 11:30 following reports that a passenger was suffering with breathing difficulties some 13 nautical miles of the Isle of Wight.
The Condor-owned ferry Commodore Clipper has diverted from its Portsmouth to Jersey route and is heading towards the lifeboat.
