Ryde Inshore Rescue have aided a yacht experiencing engine troubles on the Solent this evening (Monday).
The independent lifeboat station were tasked to launch by Solent Coastguard at around 18:20 following a call from the casualty vessel reporting a loss of engine power.
Ryde Rescue 1 and her volunteer crew have towed the dual-masted ‘Pumpkin’ to the safety of Ryde Harbour after locating the vessel to west of Ryde Pier.
