Staff at award-winning Newport-based firm WRS have been on a winning streak, bagging a total of £1,500 in Isle of Wight Lottery prizes over the past 8 weeks.
The EPOS business, which supports the Lottery through its Payroll scheme, has seen employees hold winning numbers in 6 out of 8 weeks. During that time, individual staff members have scooped £100 five times, with one lucky employee landing the £1,000 weekly jackpot.
Ben Smith, who won £1,000, said:
“I couldn’t believe it when I was told I had won! It was a great surprise and I appreciate work putting us on the scheme.”
A spokesperson for WRS added:
“WRS are proud to support the IOW Lottery. By supporting the IOW Lottery you have the opportunity to help put money back into the Island.”
The Isle of Wight Lottery helps to create local jobs by providing 0% loans to Island businesses and start-ups. Since launching in 2001, it has helped to create over 450 jobs and loaned more than £1.3 million to local organisations.
Megan Barrett, of the Isle of Wight Lottery, said:
“It’s becoming a habit now — I regularly call WRS to deliver the good news that another staff member has won!”
The next big draw is the summer £5,000 prize on 18th July. To be in with a chance of winning, contact the Isle of Wight Lottery on 01983 529 888.
