An early hours altercation has led to thousands of pounds worth of damage being caused to a social club in the West Wight.

Broken Britain, scum everywhere…..
You OK hun? You seem to be having a bit of a keyboard warrior moment.
Hopefully cctv will show this lowlife scum?? People who do this should be made to pay for the damages, if not the parents, then they might keep an eye on their brats??
I will pay £3.50 per cxxt.
This place is full of alcoholic people so I’m not surprised. You know the type, they can’t even walk past without going in for a drink as their taste buds are tingling. Then they’ll walk to the Conservative Club for a drink, then walk back to the Social Club via The Vine, then have a chippy meal or Chinese every night.Same old faces standing outside puffing on a cigarette week in week out, it amazes everyone how they can afford to sit in there all day and night. We are all sure that if the club had fold out beds then these alcoholic people would live there. It’s too noisy for those living opposite, it’s time the club was closed and sold, clean up Freshwater and get rid of the pubs and clubs. If people want to get drunk every day stay at home.
Theres a club in freshwater??!??
Local club for local people.!
The alcoholics even take their babies and children in there and walk home without them, these grow up accustomed to having drink around them all the time and later get caught drink driving, it is a horrible place. There’s videos on social media of locals sitting at the tables asleep in there. If they want to sleep then go home to bed.! I bet they don’t go into Tesco or the garden centre to nod off.!
This is a big problem with society, alcohol and alcoholics. Anything from rowdy behaviour to drink driving.
Close down these clubs. Maybe the plant pot thrower is trying to send a message and clean up the village.
They abandon their babies at a club & go home? Why isn’t this front page news? Freshwater looks so calm from the outside
Who the xxxx are you there are respectable people as well infact they outweigh the others you can’t tar everyone with the same brush ,you are just ignorant
Respectable people outweigh the others.? So you’ve just admitted that there are a lot of unrespectable people who visit the club. Thank you for the confirmation which we already knew.
In what context do they differ.?
They don’t fall asleep in the club.?
They don’t stand outside smoking.?
They don’t sit or stand outside talking loudly.?
They sustain from alcohol.?
They don’t spend every waking hour in the club.?
They don’t wake residents up while walking home.?
They don’t drink drive.?
They don’t visit with babies or children who later become alcoholics.?
These are factual statements here.
So let’s get this right, in your opinion people who smoke, sit, stand, talk, or drink alcohol are not respectable people?
Must be lonely sat in church by yourself he of no sin.
Doing it all day every day, they have no respect for themselves, they queue up before the place opens, desperate for a drink. Even the ones that work go straight in there at lunchtime and back again after work.
Tell me you are an alcoholic without telling me that you are an alcoholic…
My god you are boring
Grow up John
Bet they don’t have this problem in North Korea.
maybe get rid of the entire family tree as precaution like they do?
No surprise there when you consider their clientele!
Headline should be thousands of pounds of improvements done overnight in freshwater
I’ve passed it on occasion and it doesn’t exactly look inviting. It’s in the wrong place too, right opposite one of the best bakers on the island. I feel sorry for anyone living nearby because as others have already commented, it almost always has the same people sat outside it, smoking and drinking. Not a very nice sight on any High Steet. I hope it’s refused any further licence to sell alcohol and closed. Freshwater is being held back by establishments like this.
When we retired to the island from the the mainland I got chatting to a Bloke on the Ferry who said that the island was a lovely place to live. He also said it’s full of drunks ,drug takers failed businesses and young people who don’t want to work.
So having been here a few years he was about right
Sounds very much as if this place needs to clean up its act and be more ‘selective’ who they allow to frequent their establishment!
Doss and Hole spring to mind. Start a campaign, CLEAN UP FRESHWATER FROM THE ALCHI SWILLING DOSSERS!
talk to social services “we cant make you do anything you dont want to ” just saying but literaly how it is
The curse of alcohol but then again i like a pint words of wisdom all things in moderation
