yellowwindwarning22112016The adverse weather conditions being experienced across the Isle of Wight this week are to continue, as the Met Office issue a yellow weather warning for strong winds tomorrow (Tuesday).

Forecasters are warning that southwesterly winds will increase tonight and into tomorrow morning, bringing gusts of 50 to 60 mph on coasts, with a low risk of 70-80 mph.

The weather warning is in force from 01:00 until 09:00 and follows on from today’s warning for heavy rain.

Islanders should be aware of the risk of damage to trees and disruption to transport, and of large waves coming onto seafronts.
