2 young gymnasts from the Isle of Wight have enjoyed outstanding success at the National Finals, with one crowned UK champion and the other securing a podium finish.
Daisy and Holly, both representing Legacy Elite Gymnastics Academy, returned from the national competition with 5 medals between them, including 3 golds.
Daisy enjoyed a remarkable competition, securing gold medals on both beam and floor before claiming 1st place overall to be crowned National Champion.
Her impressive floor routine was among the highlights of the competition, helping her secure the prestigious national title.
There was also plenty to celebrate for teammate Holly, who finished 3rd overall in the UK following a series of strong performances.
Holly claimed silver on bars and bronze on beam, while also impressing with her floor routine.
The pair’s achievements came despite a long journey and an early start, with both gymnasts demonstrating the dedication and determination that had gone into preparing for the National Finals.
Legacy Elite Gymnastics Academy has expressed its pride in both girls, describing their success as a fitting reward for countless hours of hard work and training.
Celebrating their achievements, the academy said:
“Girls, we are so proud of you both. All the hard work, dedication and determination have paid off, and you have both done yourselves and Legacy Elite Gymnastics Academy incredibly proud.
“After a long journey and an early start, you stepped onto that competition floor and showed everyone what you are made of.
“A massive well done to both girls and everyone who has supported them along the way. These are the moments that make all the hard work worthwhile.”
