Wightlink has suspended its Portsmouth-Fishbourne car ferry service this afternoon (Thursday) following a technical issue with the boarding ramp.
The operator has confirmed that the fault means cars cannot be safely loaded or unloaded, forcing all sailings on the route to be suspended until further notice. Engineers are on site working to repair the problem.
To help minimise disruption, Wightlink says that customers booked on Portsmouth-Fishbourne sailings can transfer free of charge to the Lymington-Yarmouth route.
Those with existing bookings are encouraged to check the Wightlink website for the latest updates
Further announcements are anticipated later today.

Same old…..
Same old… Hey,to save your time and effort and your readers…Why not just run a story when their service is normal? That way you probably only have to post an article a couple of times a month.
When will this sh*t stop, we need reliable ferries,
prices are never suspended.
Time to build a Bridge or Tunnel
it was probably due to 1 of their ferries smashing into it a bit earlier
