Forecasters are predicting widespread fog will develop across many parts of the Isle of Wight tonight and into tomorrow (Friday), prompting a yellow weather warning.
IW Met Service warns that there is potential for some extremely dense areas of fog, especially in low lying rural parts.
The fog will gradually become less widespread towards dawn, although may still linger for some time towards more central, southern and western parts.
Motorists should be aware about a sudden and dramatic reduction in visibility over very short distances.
Cross-Solent travel should be minimally impacted by this latest fog.
