Wessex Cancer Support has confirmed that its popular Family Funday will return to Tesco Extra on Saturday 16th May, relaunched for 2026 as ‘Wessex Day’.
The event will run from 10:00 to 16:00 and promises a full day of entertainment, activities and community engagement in support of Islanders affected by cancer.
A packed programme of live performances is planned throughout the day, featuring Raw Samba, Emilia, Ruby Bodenham, Baron Fortitude, Cara Goodrem, Amy Joliffe, TheatreTrain and Hannah The Vintage Songbird.
Families attending can also enjoy a range of activities including games, magic performances from Naturally Nick and storytelling sessions led by Kathryn Rossati.
Wessex Cancer Support will be present to provide information about the charity’s free emotional and practical services available to people across the Isle of Wight, including counselling, wellbeing sessions and community-based support.
The event aims to bring the community together, raise awareness of the charity’s work and generate vital funds. The organisation receives no government funding.
The charity has also thanked Tesco Ryde and Aspire for their support in helping deliver the event.
