A wall in Ryde has been damaged following a road traffic collision during the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
Police and paramedics were called to Great Preston Road on the outskirts of the town at around 03:15 when a blue car collided at speed with a parked vehicle and then a wall.
Locals have described to Island Echo how the vehicle span 360 degrees as it travelled from the Westridge Cross direction. The impact woke residents.
Island Echo understands the driver and passenger of the vehicle fled from the scene, one with a head injury.
