Residents of Vecta House Care Home enjoyed a virtual event like no other – an afternoon at the theatre streaming the beloved sitcom Some Mother do ‘Ave ‘Em performed by the Barn theatre in the Cotswolds.
Transforming the lounge into a cosy theatre, with admittance tickets, set the atmosphere for an extraordinary experience. The laughter was endless as everyone watched accident prone Frank Spencer navigate from one hilarious mishap to another.
Vecta House was joined by a special guest: Nancy, the wife of Raymond Allan, scriptwriter of the famous sitcom. Nancy spent precious time with the residents, sharing enchanting stories about her husband. Her warmth and laughter enriched the afternoon, as everyone enjoyed hearing about the creative mind behind those unforgettable scenes.
Tanya Everson Activities, coordinator at Vecta House, said:
“It was a lovely afternoon, seeing the residents, alongside their families and friends, roar with laughter as they remembered scenes for the popular sitcom was so heart-warming.
“I’d also like to thank our special guest Nancy for making the day even more memorable.”
