A man who suffered a suspected minor stroke aboard a yacht led to Cowes RNLI Lifeboat being launched early this morning (Tuesday).
The man and his wife had spent the night in Newtown Creek aboard the 32ft yacht Aquila when, early this morning, he felt unwell.
Seeking medical assistance, Solent Coastguard were contacted who in turn alerted Cowes lifeboat at , launched at around 07:30.
The lifeboat located the yacht transferred the couple ashore to an waiting ambulance at Shalfleet Quay.
Before returning to Cowes, the lifeboat crew transferred the Aquila, which was from Poole, to a buoy in the creek.
