Thunderstorms are expected to move northwards into Southern England tomorrow morning (Thursday), which could bring torrential rain to the area.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain with 30-40mm of rain expected to fall in a hour, or perhaps as much as 60-80mm in 2-3 hours.
Flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly, with damage to some buildings possible from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
As well as heavy rain, frequent lightning and large hail is possible.
The warning is in force from 11:00 until 23:59 tomorrow, with a second warning for continued heavy rain on Friday between 00:00 and 21:00.
