THIS YEAR’S WOLVERTON FOLK AND BLUES SET FOR MAY

This year’s Festival of Folk & Blues is set to take place in the stunning grounds of Wolverton Manor, Shorwell on Saturday 11th May 2024. Since its successful launch in 2011, the family-friendly festival has been gaining momentum, with fantastic bands/artists each year, along with locally produced food, children’s activities, a tea tent and the Real Ale tent. Special guest artists at Wolverton Folk & Blues this year include rising British soul/blues artist Mississippi MacDonald, award-winning UK folk stars 3 Daft Monkeys and British blues legends Ruthless Blues. As well as the Main Stage, the popular ‘Beer Tent Acoustic Stage’ will make a welcome return, providing a full and varied programme, featuring some of the best Folk and Blues musicians the Isle of Wight has to offer.

Other Bands/Artists confirmed include The Raw Blues Project (featuring Dick Taylor of the Pretty Things), Sorrel Nation, Hashtag, The Bohemians, Shtum, Damien Paul Band, Brighstone Barnacles, Wild Roses, Ben Jordan, Rose & Ed, VULGA (Ventnor Ukes), The Country Bumkins, Moonshine Border Morris plus more to be announced.

With an IW real ale beer tent, Tea Tent, Barbeque, children’s activities, craft stalls and Morris Dancing, The Wolverton Folk & Blues Fair is set to be a great opportunity to enjoy top live music and great festival food, set against the backdrop of the beautiful West Wight scenery. Money raised will be used in support of Leukaemia Research/Cancer Support and Brighstone School. Tickets cost £12.00 (£14.00 on the day). Free admission for children 12 and under.
