Police conducted a raid on a house in Newport this morning (Tuesday), arresting a 29-year-old man on suspicion of drug dealing.
Officers forced entry to a property on Westminster Lane shortly before 08:00.
Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that a quantity of suspected class A drugs and some cash were seized from the property.
A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, as well as possession of Class B drugs.
He has been released from custody but remains under investigation.
