After a 3-year absence, Chale Show is back this coming weekend (6th/7th August) with 2 days of family fun planned – and the sunshine is on order!

The annual event, held off Military Road, is always a firm favourite with Islanders and visitors alike and 2022 will be no different, especially as the weather forecast suggests plenty of sunshine.

The highlight of the show is the Island’s largest horticultural competition with over 1,500 exhibits in many different classes including vegetables, flowers, cookery and arts. For 2022, Island Echo is sponsoring the photography classes.

The 94th running of Chale Show will feature Ollie Phillips Equestrian Display in the main arena, which includes stunt riding and Spanish dressage. Extreme Bike Battle will also be taking to the centre stage as they fuses multiple disciplines together for the ultimate adrenaline-fuelled show with jaw-dropping stunts from world-class performers.

Local produce will be on offer in the market tent and traders will pack out the arts & crafts marquee and the many other areas of the Chale Recreation Ground. Keep an eye out for the steam engines, vintage tractors and fairground too!

You can expect to see Isle of Wight musicians taking to the Sunflower stage with a beer garden within easy reach offering local ales, cider and lagers.

The Chale Show returns on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th August between 10:00-17:00. Free parking. Adults just £11, children under 16 go FREE.
