Police and Crime Commissioner, Donna Jones, is continuing to call on residents to help inform her next Police and Crime Plan. The document will set the strategic direction for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary for the next 4 years until 2028. The PCC launched the public consultation for the new plan on June 10 and it will close one month from today on 19th August. The survey has already received 4,020 responses from members of the public. As an elected official, the Commissioner must listen to public concerns and set the local policing priorities on their behalf. PCC Donna Jones said:
“My role is to be your voice on all policing and crime matters. With your views, I can hold the force to account and ensure the police are answerable to the people they serve. “In my first term as your Police Commissioner, you asked for more police officers on the streets, working in the heart of your communities. I delivered on those promises with the recruitment of 650 more police officers, named and contactable Local Bobbies for every community, and with my ongoing pledge to open 10 more police stations and front counters. “I am on track to have opened seven more police stations by the end of 2024, and I’ve already committed to ensuring the force recruits 75 more police officers by spring 2025. Now I would like to hear from you what else I can do in my second term. “Tell me about the challenges you’re facing where you live so I can continue to represent your community and further protect you, your family, your homes and your businesses.”
The Police and Crime Commissioner has a statutory duty to listen to communities and set the local policing priorities on the public’s behalf. National current threats and priorities are set by the Home Office under the Strategic Policing Requirement. PCC Donna Jones added:
“The future direction of policing throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight is in your hands. Your voice and your views matter.”

4000 out of several million?.
Can this ‘Have your say’ include mentioning the huge rise is serious crime due to non British people or the children of those people who have arrived in the last couple of decades?
Perhaps SHE could use her otherwise token gesture position to point out the higher authorities that instead of a huge proportion of arrivals being a boon, and working hard, they soon, once having a child, take FULL advantage of the benefit system, and leave scattered offspring in households then funded by the state (us) to keep.
The Born here generation, no longer classed as foreign but British, then resent this country and as we see, albeit briefly, as the Media are afraid and controlled, to keep riots, and any wrongdoings by recent arrivals low key
I am sure that if you can evidence the huge rise in crime being due to non- British people or their children the PCC will do her best to address it. I doubt, however, that she will base her police and crime plan on unsubstantiated prejudice.
More Reform/Deform bullsh!t.
What a shrill and baseless song you sing.
Give it a rest. It’s like a stuck record.
Sort out the bloody homeless shelter Howard House on pan because they are not allowed to drink inside the place they sit outside the gate drinking shouting playing loud music they don’t put their rubbish in the bin just leave it all over the pavement they use the alleyway to the garages for drugs reported the problems many times what’s been done NOTHING
Has she only got the one dress? You’d think she was earning enough to buy another one.
size square must still be out of stock in the shops
so basically whatever we want you will ignore it, and when the shit hits the fan, you will blame us, because “we” wanted it. Nice get out. You should of gone the same way as Seely.
More lost VHS tapes, disgraceful from the PCC
Why waste your time, will make no difference. Just a way of making you think you make a difference.
Make a better job of dealing with feril brats being allowed to walk the streets doing as they like and causing trouble, by putting cerfews and tags on them. Like for example the little shit who assulted people on Players beach
Give her a chance She’s only had since 2021 To do something .. the Rapid Response Police push bikes and part time Police station take a long time to deliver .. and her buddy ( Seely ) has gone so no more dynamic duo ..
What I would like to see is safer Roads.
Speeding is a SERIOUS problem on the island.
Get off your butt and visit the areas most affected during the night and not just after breakfast/lunch when all the E.L.Fs are asleep or high and you will see what needs to be done!!!!!!!!
