UPDATED: SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION CAUSES DELAYS ON MIDDLE ROAD

There are delays on Middle Road this afternoon (Monday) as a result of single vehicle collision in a which a driver has lost control of their vehicle. The incident occurred on the B3401 between Betty Haunt Lane and Rowridge Lane just before 14:00. Island Echo understands that a single vehicle has come to a halt in the middle of the carriageway after losing control. A single wheel has been ripped from the chassis. It is believed that no serious injuries have been sustained. Emergency service personnel aren’t yet on scene. The road remains passable albeit under give and take. UPDATE @ 16:00 – The incident has been cleared and traffic is once again flowing freely.
