25-year-old Thomas Riordan is to appear in court today (Monday) after being charged with assaulting Police officers during an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning.
In the early hours of yesterday morning (9th January), Police responded to a disturbance in Milford Road, before locating a man in St Paul’s Crescent.
It’s alleged that Riordan made threats towards officers on arrival, and later assaulted 2 officers – 1 of which was subjected to racist abuse.
Thomas Jack Riordan, of Church Road in Shanklin, has now been charged with common assault of an emergency worker, racially aggravated common assault and using threatening or abusive words/behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence or provoke violence.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today.
Oh for the “good old days” before this snowflake society when he would have been given a little reprimand down a dark alley by the officer thereby saving a large amount of taxpayer’s money and probably wouldn’t re-offend again in case of another reprimand. Progress?
This guy has been in court so many times…been given suspended sentences and I think a small jail term. Does he learn? NO
He’ll never be anything more but a mindless thug.
Our Justice system doesn’t work anymore.
