The ladies of Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club welcomed guests to their annual Ladies’ Invitation competition earlier this week (Tuesday), with golf, prizes and fundraising for charity.
In a tightly contested Am-Am, Ladies’ Captain Lorrie Hawkins and member Bev Whorwood, alongside guests Sue Cox from Ryde and Denise Insley from Cowes, secured first place with 88 points.
Runners-up were Ruth Graves and Christine O’Brien from Shanklin and Sandown, partnered by Louise Webb and Claire Matejowsky from Westridge, who finished on 86 points.
The nearest the pin prize for guest players went to Louise Webb, while the home player award was won by Sandie Gallard-Jupp.
A raffle in aid of Breast Cancer Care was also held, raising £385 for the charity.
