The next wave of acts for this year’s Fairweather Festival have been announced this evening (Tuesday), including special guest Shaggy and Saturday headliners Razorlight.
Taking place on Friday 31st August and Saturday 1st September at Sandown Airport, the family-friendly event will be headlined on the Saturday night by noughties indie-rock legends Razorlight. Fans can expect to hear all their hits, including ‘America’, ‘In The Morning’ and ‘Golden Touch’.
Performing on the Friday evening will be a very special guest… the one and only dancehall hero, Shaggy. Known globally for hits like ‘Angel’, ‘Boombastic’ and ‘It Wasn’t Me’, the star will be flying over from America for the Isle of Wight event.
Fans of dance music and bassline will be pleased to hear that Nathan Dawe, Skepsis, Tripitaka and Vukes have been added to the line-up.
Completing the announcement is national talents Fenne Lily, Dr Vades and The Tailormade, as well as a whole host of local talent, including Lucid, Lauran Hibberd, Too Greezey, Clippa Sound, DJ Hancock, Just Eden, Gully Rollers Commission, Eddie C, Shufflah and Annabelle Spencer.
They all join the previously announced Friday headliners Example and DJ Wire, as well as Fatman Scoop, The South, Rhythm of the 90’s and X Factor winner Matt Terry.
This year, ‘the festival for better mental health’ is partnered with the Isle of Wight Youth Trust to raise vital awareness and important funds to sustain their outstanding services for the future.
Callum Fairweather, Founder and Promoter, said:
“This has been so difficult to keep under wraps, but I’m very excited to announce the bulk of the line-up for Fairweather 2018! I still can’t believe I’ve persuaded Razorlight and Shaggy to come to the Island for my little festival!
“We truly hope there’s something for everyone throughout the weekend and we’re proud to be hosting acts from around the world alongside some great local talent. See you at the Airport!”
Adult tickets are just £40 for the 2 days, with child and family tickets available too. Children under 10 go FREE. Another sell out year is expected so it advised that tickets are bought sooner rather than later!
