A second case of COVID-19 has been identified within the school community at Binstead Primary, leading to more pupils being told to stay at home.
As previously reported by Island Echo, 33 children in Year 1 and Year 4 and 5 members of staff were sent home after confirmation of the school’s first coronavirus case.
Now, an unknown number of individuals have been told they must self-isolate for 14 days.
The school say they are monitoring the situation and working closely with Public Health England. Reassurances are being given that for most people, COVID-19 is a mild illness.
Binstead Primary School remains open and children should continue to attend as normal if they remain well.

All to be shut within two weeks, watch and learn to trust others.
Kids should have been wearing masks right from the start, same as everyone else.
Why only protect part of the population ??
Why bother at all with anything?
Lockdown all these little spreaders now before lockdown goes past 2nd December
