A number of children and staff at Binstead Primary School have been sent home following a confirmed case of COVID-19.
In a text sent out to parents this morning (Friday), the school’s management team confirmed that they have been made of a member of the school community testing positive for the coronavirus – although they don’t state if it is a child or adult.
Children who have been in close contact with the individual have been sent home and told they must stay at home for the next 14 days.
It’s known that 33 students in Year 1 and Year 4 and 5 members of staff are now self-isolating.
The rest of the school remains open as normal and children should continue to attend as long as they are feeling well.
Binstead Primary is working with Public Health England on the matter.

I imagine you still believe that ‘schools were closed’ during the first lockdown. They weren’t. Teachers were still there. Those at home were ‘vulnerable’ and set work from there instead, called parents regularly, responded to work emailed in and so on. So not ‘snowflakes’. yep – any excuse not to be at the school with the kids – just snowflake teachers that cannot be bothered to have the kids at school getting on with it…..just like all the nhs/transport/electric/water/gas/internet/shop workers and many more already are and have been throughout this whole pack of crap.

if you are dumb enough to believe what you read online about a virus that has a 99.98% survival rate, then you deserve to be locked up.
this lockdown and paranoia is being spread by the old people in parliament, because they know they are the group that should be staying indoors isolating – the rest of us will be fine.

I too have wondered IF this only affected the poor and then the ruling classes could, as they do with most ill’s in life, buy their way out of such harm, then our caring Government would just let us get on with it, and actually see it as beneficial, taking out those who are less likely to be paying into society compared with fit and younger people.
Maybe I am too cynical, but makes you wonder.

there have been 1.25m deaths worldwide out of a population of 7.8 billion – that is 0.016% – meaning 99.984% of people on this planet have not died as a result of this virus.
Once we reach march – the whole world will have been through one full cycle – and the southern hemisphere that has just emerged from its winter is reporting no new cases in many places – we saw continually reductions in cases in our summer – the same will happen here next march onwards.

People need to understand the virus is spread by people. Stop visiting people otherwise we will be forever in and out of lockdown.
Thank goodness the children are less prone to ill effects of this terrible disease. At least the elderly and many ill have had some joy in life, and not much to look forwards to when your old and ill, but the kiddies have their whole life to come, lets pray it doesn’t mutate and take them to.
Ridiculous country! Now don’t tell me it’s just the staff and the pupils that need to self isolate from the named schools, wouldn’t it be also brothers and sisters of those pupils, the pupils of the same classes of the brothers and sisters, and so on…. The husband’s or wife’s of the staff, the staffs children that go to different schools maybe, the pupils of the same class as their children ,so on and on… Crazy!
Perhaps the schools could let the powers that be into their secret of how to detect covid so quickly.
