UPDATED: Firefighters from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are attending a scooter fire at Yarbridge this evening (Tuesday).
1 pumping appliance from Ryde is currently in attendance at the scene on Marshcombe Shute, where a scooter has burst into flames in the lay-by.
Nobody has been injured in the incident, however the 125cc scooter has been destroyed.
UPDATE @ 17:15 – Firefighters have successfully extinguished the blaze and damped down the surrounding area. They have now left the scene.
The charred remains of the scooter have been recovered privately.
