After her great run in the Verona Marathon, Ryde Harrier Carly Scoble has set personal bests over 10km in January and now over the half marathon, running in the recent Farnborough Winter Half.
In good running conditions for February the field of almost 2,500 set off on an undulating loop around the roads of Farnborough Airfield and country lanes.
Carly was soon into her running and passed 10km in 38min 25sec, looking strong which she continued through 10 miles in 62min 46sec.
The run in to the finish at the Village Hotel contain long slow continuous climbs but she held her form to record a personal best of 83min 26sec.
This event also contained an England Maters Trial where athletes competed to represent England, so the competition was of a very high standard with athletes travelling from all parts of the UK.
Carly finished an outstanding 8th lady overall from the huge field and 4th in her 35-39 category.
Adam Clarke of Aldershot, Farnham & District, who is coached by Geoff Watkin from the Ryde Harries was the overall winner breaking the course record in a fast 63min 46sec.
