Runners of all ages are set to race through Nettlestone and Seaview this Sunday (28th September) with the return of the ‘Nettlestone RAT Race’.
Now in its third year since returning after the pandemic, the RAT Race – short for Road and Trail Race – is organised by the Friends of Nettlestone School and offers 3 routes: a 5-mile course, a 5km route, and a 600m kids’ dash, starting from 10:00.
Sarah Peake, Race Organiser, Friends of Nettlestone School says:
“It’s an incredible fun and friendly event for all ages which has become a firm fixture on the Island’s running circuit – but it’s the inclusive nature of the run, with all generations turning up on the start line, that really makes the RAT Race so special.”
All money raised will go toward supporting Nettlestone Primary School, helping fund school trips, learning resources and extra-curricular activities.
Late entries will be accepted on the day, but runners are encouraged to pre-register if possible.
